Purpose: Relationship-building, engagement, listening, and feedback

Opening

Hi [NAME], this is Ronda Dorsey calling from the ICF Heartland Chapter.
Is this a good time for a quick hello?

[If no → schedule a better time.]

I’m serving as Director of Partnerships and Sponsorships this year, and our board is reaching out personally to connect with members. There’s no pitch: we just genuinely want to hear how things are going for you.

Connection Questions

  • How has your coaching practice been going this year?

  • What originally drew you to the Heartland Chapter?

  • Have you been able to attend any chapter events recently?

Engagement Questions

  • What would be helpful to your coaching practice or membership experience?

  • Are there topics, speakers, or formats you’d love to see?

  • Is there anything that’s made it hard to engage?

Optional (if appropriate)

We’re always looking for members who want to get more involved, committees, speaking, hosting, mentoring.

Is that something you’d ever want to explore?

Close

Thank you so much for taking the time. It really helps us build a stronger chapter.

I’ll send a quick follow-up email thanking you for connecting and including a few ways to keep informed of opportunities and events.

We truly appreciate your membership.

Have a great day!

Subject: Thank You for Connecting

Hi [First Name],

Thank you again for taking the time to connect with me. I truly appreciated hearing about your coaching work and your experience with the Heartland Chapter.

Your feedback helps us continue building a chapter that serves coaches at every stage. Below are three ways to keep you involved and informed of upcoming events:

  1. ICF Engage - join the ICF Heartland Community, where you can ask questions and have open dialogue and conversations.

  2. Socials: Facebook and Linked In  - if you tag ICF Heartland, we will be happy to share.

  3. Monthly Email Update - will include information about upcoming events, as well as messages from the board our members, and important information from ICF Global

If anything else comes to mind — ideas, feedback, or ways you'd like to be involved — please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We’re grateful you’re part of this community.

Warmly,
Ronda Dorsey
Director of Partnerships and Sponsorships
